Each month the Leave a Legacy volunteers purchase snacks and water for the patients and their families and friends to have while either waiting for their treatments or during treatments. Some patients are at the cancer center for hours each treatment and a bottle of water and a snack makes this experience a little less difficult for them.
Through your generosity we have been able to continue giving Laura’s Touches, giving gifts such as gas cards to over 500 cancer patients taking chemo or radiation at Heartland Cancer Center.
The Greatest Needs account was established to help patients fighting cancer in southwest Kansas. Patients can request gas cards, meal vouchers or help with medical expenses at Heartland Cancer Center.
